SUMMARY:In the Land of Light and Llamas: Observing with the Magellan Telescopes
DESCRIPTION:Join us on an adventure to Chile and learn about what it’s like to study the stars at one of the largest ground-based telescopes in the world! UM Astronomy PhD candidate Katya Gozman will share her experiences of what life is like while staying at Las Campanas Observatory and observing with the twin 6.5-meter Magellan telescopes\, located in the arid Atacama desert.
